We have only been really blogging since January (2008) and are amazed at how many people have stopped by to visit our blogs! To date, there have been 2,573 visitors to our blogs and that includes people from every continent and some very remote countries!
As we move into the final days of November, things seem to be getting more and more hectic! Christmas is now very much in our thoughts and this week will see us stepping our preparations for the Christmas Fayre and performance.
However, in some countries Christmas is not yet fully on people’s minds. In the US, Thansgiving falls upon the fourth Thursday in November and in many respects, is as almost as important as Christmas itself. Having spent a year in America between 2000 and 2001, I was lucky enough to be able to experience the whole build up and day itself. I wonder though, outside of America (and Canada), just how many people know very much about the history and traditions of this festival.
This week proves to be equally as busy with P4-7 pupils continuing their swimming sessions at the leisure centre, cross-country training beginning on Wednesday and cycling proficiency training with Dawn.
Our Eco Bags arrived this week and are now available from the school office priced at £3.
Finally, don’t forget that on Friday, pupils are invited to wear tartan to celebrate St.Andrew’s Day. Children are asked to pay £1 for the privilege with all money going toward Highland Hospice.
